Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 June 2026
Limpid Chess is a single-player chess game made by Lone Bee. It is built to need as little of your data as possible.
The short version
Limpid Chess does not collect, store, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. The game works fully offline.
What stays on your device
The game saves one small settings-and-progress file on your device only. It holds your Premium status, chosen language, sound preference, last opponent, the count of games played today, and your game statistics. This file never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Purchases
The optional one-time "Premium" upgrade is processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles the payment; we never see your card or payment details. The app only learns whether the upgrade was purchased. Google's handling of payments is covered by Google's own privacy policy.
Opening other websites
- If you tap "Review the moves" on the end-of-game screen, the app opens Chess.com's analysis page in your browser, with the moves of that game included in the link so you can study them. This happens only when you choose it, and those moves are then handled by Chess.com under their privacy policy.
- Links on the About screen (source code, fonts, icons, chess engine) open their websites in your browser.
We do not control these third-party sites; their own privacy policies apply.
Children
Limpid Chess is suitable for children and collects no personal data from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly collect data from children, or from anyone else.
Information collected by Google Play
When you install from Google Play, Google may collect standard, aggregate information (for example install and crash statistics) under its own policies. The app itself adds no analytics or tracking on top of this.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
